Amalfi Coast is the land right above the level of the Sea between Sorrento and Salerno, and it is famous also under the name of ‘Divina’ since many VIP, people from aristocracy and upper class used to go there on holiday.
Amalfi Coast takes the name from Amalfi Town, that many centuries ago was one of the Italian Republiques who held maritime power, enjoying a privileged position over the Tyrrhenian Sea. Nowadays it belongs to to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Other relevant towns along the Coast are Sorrento, Positano and Ravello. Sorrento is one of the top destination there and the main reason is their beautiful charming shops that sells ceramics, laceworks and marquetry as well as the refreshing limoncello.
