You will meet at 7:30 am our team and our friendly art expert guide and go to the priority entrance being ready to enter the Museums at 8:00am. We will provide personal headsets and a picture with a short description of the Michelangelo’s’ artwork in the Sistine Chapel that will be very useful while you are going to be inside the Chapel admiring the frescoes done by Michelangelo. due to the Holiness of the place, inside the Sistine chapel explanations are not permitted. Our Colosseum with Arena tour includes a fast track access through the Gladiator’s Arch , you can add as an option to choose also the tour with the option of the Roman Forum tour and Palatine hill.We offer offer the afternoon  option to choose  a tour only of the Colosseum with Arena or the full tour of ancient Rome!

During our Vatican guided tour with a live enthusiastic guide you will be able to see and to take pictures inside the Gallery of the Candelabra, the Tapestries and the Geographical Maps, while listening to our knowledgeable guide who will provide you with a lot of interesting details about the works of art displayed in the museum. After the galleries, you will continue to the Apartment of Pope Julius II who commissioned the rooms of his apartment to the young Raphael and the Ceiling of the Sistine Chapel to Michelangelo. The two artists were working in the same time for the Pope Julius II. You will discover also stories and anecdotes about the rivalry existing between Michelangelo and Raphael. Just before seeing the Sistine Chapel you will see also the Borgia apartment once the place of the spanish Borgia Pope related to the beautiful woman called Lucrezia Borgia that she was his illegitimate daughter. Once you finally step inside the Sistine Chapel you will be overwhelming by the beauty of the Last Judgment and the Creation of the World. Michelangelo worked in the Sistine chapel for two different Popes and he spent a in total 9 years. Last but not least, our guide will take you to one of the biggest churches in the world: St Peter’s Basilica. In the Sistine Chapel there is a strategic passageway that will lead you directly to the Basilica without standing in line. The Church is an iconic Baroque building built in more than 120 years. From the inside you certainly will not miss the great Bernini’s Baldachino which is a combination of architecture and sculpture; before leaving the tour guide will also draw your attention on the so called St Peter Chair, a wooden throne, with relic preserved inside. In the Basilica there is also the “Pieta” marble group sculpted by the young Michelangelo. This is the famous Pieta that Michelangelo signed with his name and was originally preserved in the old Basilica of St. Peter’s built in the IV century on request of the Emperor Constantine.
Get some rest before you begin the second part of the tour dedicated to the Ancient Rome. Remember to allocate some time to reach the meeting point for the second part of the package that will start from our central office. The departure will be at 1:15 pm. You can customize this option as you like and take advantage of our combo tour visiting also in a day the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill. You will live a Gladiator experience, entering from the famous Porta Libitinensis, also known as Gate of Death after Libina, goddess of funerals. This is a fast track entrance and a VIP Gate where only visitors with a special ticket can access through this gate and step into the center of the Arena Floor, therefore not only you will visit the regular rings of the Colosseum, but you will also have the privilege to access the restricted arena floor from where you can enjoy also a close view of the dungeons located right beneath the arena. Our the extended tour will also take you to the Palatine Hill where Patricians and Roman Emperors lived and from where you will see the Palace of the emperor Domitian, from there after a stop in a panoramic picture you will continue to Arch of Titus and to the Roman forum, once the ancient political, economic and social life with the Senator House and the Temple of Julius Caesar. Please let us say that few days after Easter and in some days after bank holiday or summer time you might find some groups inside the Sistine Chapel but you still will avoid the huge daily crowd.

Morning tour: Meeting place across the Vatican Museums entrance, Viale Vaticano 100 outside Caffè Vaticano. By Metro A, get off at Ottaviano. Ottaviano metro stop is only 10 minutes walk to the Vatican Museum only entrance and you will meet us right across the street with a sign.
Please note: St. Peter’s square is not the Vatican Museums meeting point.
