Passeig de Gràcia is one of the main avenues in Barcelona. It is located in the heart of the Eixample neighbourhood and connects Plaça Catalunya with Carrer Gran de Gràcia. This tree-lined boulevard was once called Camí de Jesús which means “Jesus Road” and already played an important role back in the 19th century, when the avenue was the prime location for aristocrats to give proof of their horse-riding skills. With time, Passeig de Gràcia has become the most fashionable road hosting unique buildings in Art Nouveau designed by famous architects such as Antoni Gaudí.
Casa Batllò and Casa Milà are only two examples of the majestic buildings that overlook the calm boulevard. This avenue has also become one of the most expensive locations for shopping, displaying many luxury boutiques.
Passeig de Gràcia boasts an incredible location extremely close to the famous Ramblas, the ideal place for a pleasant promenade.
