Positano

Positano is one of the charming villages situated along the Amalfi Coast. The name of this little town comes from Poseidon, the God of the Sea; Positano has always boasted great fascination. In ancient times, this area was chosen by Romans to build luxury villas and in the Middle Ages it was a strategic port of the Amalfi Republic.

Among the main points of interest there is the church of Santa Maria Assunta, which is mainly characterised by a dome covered with beautiful majolica tiles. Positano offers wonderful views of the coast given to the intriguing natural shape of its location with breath-taking cliffs and tempting beaches. Moreover, this little village has grown bigger and bigger in the tourism industry thanks to the variety of culinary specialties that enrich this land: some examples are citrus fruits, liqueurs, olive oil and delicious deserts that tourists can try in many typical markets and restaurant.
